Quality & Technical Director (Apparel-Vietnamese/ local expat)

• Be the regional ''Go to leader'' for all things related to Quality and technical.
• Work closely with Global and regional teams to advance and share knowledge and best practice and ensure consistent execution in the region.
• Act as a regional leader to take charge of the delivery of on-time sample fitting, construction review, issue resolution and sample delivery.
• Lead and coach the team to drive sample and bulk quality performance proactively with vendors entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and delivering customer expectations
• Manage the teams workload and budgets ensuring delivery of objectives.
• Lead and drive continuous improvement projects / vendor training and development
• Build relationships internally with Global QA, Operations and merchandising teams, and externally with Clients and vendors building trust based on expertise and delivery of objectives.
• Recruit and train high calibre new team member

• Diploma or above in Textile / Clothing or related discipline
• At least 15 years solid experience in woven/knit/sweater items for both womens and mens wear
• Experience in Active wear is a definite advantage
• Excellent knowledge in garment sewing construction, pattern making, grading and fit adjustment
• Able to demonstrate significant experience developing complex, multi category quality strategies and implementing them within the factory base
• Strong leadership ability to lead and coach the team to ensure prompt and timely deliverables
• Excellent communication skills comfortable communicating at all levels with internal and external stakeholders. Strong ability to influence based on experience and knowledge
• Good command of written and spoken English, and capability of Vietnamese communication will be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS office, PLM systems
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadline
• Travel is required within region and occasional travel to Head office/customer location
