Regulatory Compliance Manager

• Oversee all Vietnam trade compliance activities, including import, export, and licensing, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Serve as the primary advisor on trade compliance matters in Vietnam, representing the company in meetings with customs officials when necessary.
• Ensure vendors, brokers, and business partners comply with established processes to meet regulatory requirements.
• Handle Denied Party Check (DPC) escalations related to potential matches when screening new customers, vendors, or subcontractors.
• Review Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) and determine licensing and regulatory requirements for sales transactions.
• Generate monthly reports from the SAP system detailing DPC and ECCN Hold Metrics. Analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement actions to enhance turnaround time or reduce DPC holds.
• Conduct risk assessments on end-customers and categorize them based on predetermined criteria.
• Independently conduct import reviews on a sampling basis.
• Perform quality checks on record-keeping practices and proactively follow up on missing documents.
• Provide backup support for other APJ Export Control activities as needed.

• 5 to 8 Years of relevant international trade, import and export experience.
• Degree in International Trade or Logistics preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• Operates under minimal supervision within established guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
• Ability to identify trade compliance risks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Capable of interpreting regulations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese; additional language proficiency advantageous.
