Position OverviewAs an Import/Export Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive trade operations, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese customs regulations, and optimizing supply chain processes. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.3. Key Responsibilities3.1. Inbound Operations Management
Ensure timely receipt and processing of shipping documents from international sources to meet inbound lead time requirements
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to manage inbound shipment scheduling and ensure on-time delivery
Follow up on documentation requirements related to import regulations, working with distributors and internal stakeholders
Identify and implement alternative documentation solutions when regulatory challenges arise
Manage weekly reports and coordinate with accounting teams for payment processing
Research and implement local inbound cost optimization opportunities
Track and reconcile import duties against master data monthly
3.2. Trade Compliance & Operations
Review and submit price consultation documents to customs authorities, highlighting potential risks
Maintain and update the import price master data approved by customs
Prepare monthly operational reports for regional management teams
Track and optimize Free Trade Agreement (FTA) applications and identify new FTA opportunities
Provide import duty projections and cost analysis to finance and export teams
Monitor compliance dashboards and ensure adherence to trade regulations
3.3. Problem Resolution & Optimization
Provide solutions for shipment issues, including documentation errors and order discrepancies
Coordinate with warehouse teams to identify alternative storage solutions during peak periods
Analyze detention and demurrage periods to optimize container management
Support urgent tax payment requirements and customs clearance processes

Additional InformationThis position requires working on-site at our client's office at No. 5 Me Linh Square, Sai Gon Ward (former District 1, HCMC), maintaining professional standards and confidentiality at all times. The role involves regular interaction with customs authorities, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders across multiple departments.5. Job requirements5.1. Essential Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field
3-5 years of experience in import/export operations, especially in FMCG or consumer goods sectors, is preferable
Strong expertise in international trade regulations and customs procedures
Experience with supply chain management, logistics coordination, and customs clearance processes
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools
Excellent English proficiency (written and spoken)
Experience with customs systems (VNACCS/ECUS5) is highly advantageous
