- Provide expert counsels to Process Owners to issue internal rules, policies & standards for corporate compliance risk management (including Privacy & Data Protection, Records Management and Regulatory Compliance Management generally and advise to related corporate compliance issues.
- Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures within assigned businesses /products are followed
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with the business unit (BU) teams it works with as well as related compliance teams
- Capable of handling very advanced compliance work
- Assists senior level team members with tasks and assignments as needed
- Supports BU in the development and implementation of policies, procedures that enable the business to remain in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Leads and supports special projects
- Creates and provides training as needed to BU and/or compliance staff
- Completes required reporting for the function at the BU or divisional level
- May represent Compliance on division-wide or global projects
- Ensures that policies and procedures for the function are documented
- May work with regulators as needed
- Coordinates and performs analysis on complex concepts that may require in-depth research and interpretation and provide sustainable solutions
- Participates in industry forums/working group to explore and develop possible solutions to various issues
- Collaborates with all areas of the organization to ensure compliance needs and business goals are met
- May serve as back up for various management overseeing various activities for example; exception reports, incident reporting systems, sales material reviews.
- Monitor & update global compliance databases (Archer);
- Carry out the annual or unscheduled compliance check program specialized in Regulatory Compliance Risk Management to ensure the compliance with the provision of law, internal rules and regulation and the professional ethical standards.
- Other task as assigned by management team.
- College/University Degree and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of related financial services, compliance and management experience.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technology skills including knowledge of applicable compliance or business systems
- Strong ethical compass
- Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry with an advanced understanding of the Company’s businesses.
- Advanced understanding of the regulatory environment in which the Company operates and as strong understanding of key compliance requirements applicable to the business.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to facilitate decision making across groups in the company
- Ability to embrace change; strong change management skills.
- Ability to analyze technical information, make appropriate recommendations to decision makers and ability to make decisions Decision.
