- Secure IKEA´s core competence in raw material trade and industry.
- Contribute to the development of raw material strategic directions.
- Lead the competence sharing and implementation of best practices between categories, Industries, growing/extraction owners to optimize value chain efficiency in total IKEA.
- Secure that all relevant responsible sourcing of raw material requirements are developed and implemented.
- On assignment, initiate/steer/lead value-chain project within the value chain from growing/extracting to components.
- Analyze the current supply chains, identify efficiency gaps and propose actions to capture the opportunities in IKEA´s value chains.
- Represent IKEA in relevant forums
- Deliver market intelligence for the region.
- Responsible for driving the Leadership and Competence agenda: Identify needs and gaps, and build leadership and competence plans to meet the short- and long-term business needs.
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing team that will strongly contribute to reach the objectives and goals
- Lead the team towards the set goals incl. Raw Material legal compliance.
- When applicable support IKEA Forest Investments.
- Strong understanding of IKEA Business model and IKEA Business model for growth
- Understanding of how your everyday work adds customer value.
- Strong understanding of Raw material management, the Raw Material Industry and trade, and raw material processing
- Strong ability to lead team in remote environment, coach and mentor, lead through involving and engaging people
- Strong ability to analyze a business, identifying and navigating risks
- Understanding of business, sourcing raw materials over distant supply chain and production related experience.
- Ability to build strong relationships and to build trust with external stakeholders and NGOs
