- Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Test, calibrate and inspect all electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution, controls, lighting systems, wiring and cabling in accordance with customer requirements.
- Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
- Perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
- Identify and communicate technical problems using logical troubleshooting techniques.
- Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
- Ensure compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.
- Prepare job reports for clients.
- Provide expert diagnosis of electrical faults, and plan, implement and coordinate repairs in collaboration with other staff.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Phone support.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or vocational training as a mechatronics engineer, mechanical engineer, instrument engineer, or electronic engineer.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position (preferably 5-6 years of experience in valve maintenance for oil & gas or power plant projects).
- Familiar with cranes, forklifts, tools, electrical meters and machinery required for daily valve repair duties.
- Experience in repairing various valves, positioners and actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic or electric).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Solid English knowledge; able to communicate with clients in English.
- Preferred: TOEIC score around 500-550.
- Driving license.
