
Technical Sales Engineer - Automotive & Industry

- Establish new customers and business opportunities, and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers to grow the target market.
- Provide pre-sales technical support to customers by recommending suitable products and solutions, conducting product application training, solving client problems, initiating corrective actions if necessary, and offering after-sales support services.
- Understand and analyze competitors' products and solutions to provide value-added propositions to customers.
- Negotiate, manage, and interpret customer requirements, offering products or services that best satisfy their needs in terms of quotations, quality, price, and delivery. This includes negotiating and closing sales by agreeing on terms and conditions.
- Achieve budgeted monthly sales targets by maximizing profits, submitting reports, and forecasting product sales.
- Responsible for collecting payments from customers, serving as the key interface between the finance team and the customer's account team.
- Develop and implement marketing activities for existing products and new product launches.
- Establish strong relationships with consultants, specifiers, and client authorities, and assist in the specification process to include the company's products and systems.
- Coordinate with the Head of A&I Vietnam to identify product requirements and gather necessary documents for product development.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities or duties assigned by Head of A&I Vietnam
- This role is ideal for a Mechanical/Chemical Engineer, or a Chemist with relevant application experience, who is passionate about providing technical support and driving sales.
- Proven experience in technical support for products within the Automotive, Bus, Railway, or Transportation industry. Candidates with technical service experience from other engineering fields are also encouraged to apply.
- A minimum of two years of practical sales experience with technical products.
- Prior experience with paint or adhesive manufacturers is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to conduct external and internal product and application training, and perform on-site troubleshooting at customer locations.
- Proficiency in email communication and delivering technical seminars (basic presentation skills required).
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good English speaking and writing skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
