Overview:RMIT Vietnam is seeking a contingent worker for the Student Digital Experience Engagement Officer role. Working at RMIT means building a meaningful career while creating impact in a high-performing environment.Further insight into our mission, impact and global connections is available in the .POSITION SUMMARYThe position is responsible for the development and coordination of digital engagement activities within Student Life Division, including strategic digital communications, online/offline event promotions, and student life program campaigns and communication to promote Student Life’s mission, activities as well as enhance the engagement of students in university life across campuses. This includes performing a variety of specialized duties in media relations, student communications, brand strategy, social media, website updates, videography, and public engagement in different communication channels.Key AccountabilitiesPlan and execute communication and promotion strategies including visuals, design and media productions for essential projects owned or collaborated by Student Life.Facilitate, collect and moderate communication content feeding flow of Student Life’s official communication channels (Student Life Webpage, Facebook pages, Newbies Facebook groups, MailChimp, relevant section on RMIT Vietnam website, Student and Staff Update) inward and outward facing with a clearly structured pipeline for internal members and external stakeholders.Reinforce and maintain the exposure of branding and up-to-dated information about Student Life across campuses on various channels to ensure students are well-informed and engagedCoordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers or agencies, as required, to support the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and brand-aligned multimedia and digital outputs.Work with a variety of internal stakeholders in Schools and Services to ensure the effective communication of their messages to students, including advising them on timing, channels and content.Help build and maintain a strong network of content providers for each of the student communication channels assisting, advising and troubleshooting as required - Source, write and disseminate positive new stories about Student Life department and students to help build pride amongst the student body. Collaborate with the content, PR and staff communications teams to maximize the visibility and impact of such good news stories across all audiences.Work with designers, digital and project management teams as well as external suppliers for the production of relevant communication materials e.g. brochures, signage, newsletters, web pages etc.Prepare semester and annual digital engagement reports, using visual summaries or dashboard-style formats, and apply digital and AI-supported tools where appropriate to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.Assist with ensuring student feedback is reflected to the Student Life and University and drive initiatives to bring out the student voice.Provide graphic design support for projects and events across Student Life units, responding to design requests and producing visual materials that align with approved templates, brand guidelines and communication priorities.Any other duties that may be required by the Student Activities Manager and Senior Manager, Student LifeKey Selection CriteriaRelevant Qualifications and ExperienceRelevant tertiary qualification in communications, media, digital engagement, design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and demonstrated experience in multimedia and digital content roles.Multimedia Content Production and Digital EngagementDemonstrated experience producing and coordinating multimedia digital content, including social media posts, short‑form video, visual assets and digital promotional materials, for student‑focused or engagement‑based audiences.Digital Channel Management and Content PlanningProven ability to manage digital communication channels, including content planning, scheduling, publishing workflows and basic performance optimisation across social and web platforms.Brand, Quality and ComplianceDemonstrated ability to deliver digital and multimedia content that aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, accessibility requirements and ethical standards, with strong attention to detail and quality control.Communication, Collaboration and Professional CapabilityWell‑developed interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, manage competing priorities, and deliver high‑quality outputs with minimal supervision.Additional InformationContract duration: 06 monthsHighly competitive gross salaryAnnual leave: 1 day per working monthAccident Insurance 24/7Library on campus and online - access to the RMIT Australia online libraryHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this role, it is mandatory to submit both a resume and a cover letter.
