This position requires a deep understanding of the mobile gaming industry, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to align market insights with company goals.Key Responsibilities:Market Research & Trend Analysis:
  • Continuously monitor the mobile game market in Vietnam and globally to identify shifting player preferences, emerging genres, and successful game mechanics.
  • Analyze market data, including player demographics, spending patterns, and retention metrics, to inform strategic decisions.
Competitive Monitoring:
  • Track the performance of top-performing mobile games, including revenue, downloads, user engagement, and monetization strategies.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark our portfolio against industry leaders and identify gaps or opportunities.
Game Sourcing Strategy:
  • Develop and refine a proactive game sourcing strategy to identify promising titles from indie developers, studios, and international markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with game developers and industry networks to ensure a steady pipeline of potential titles.
Game Evaluation & Deal Assessment:
  • Evaluate submitted or scouted game proposals based on market fit, scalability, monetization potential, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to assess the feasibility and ROI of potential game publishing deals.
  • Provide detailed reports and recommendations to leadership on which games to pursue.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and development teams to ensure sourced games align with promotional capabilities and technical requirements.
  • Share insights and updates with the broader team to foster a data-driven approach to game publishing.
Qualifications:
  • Hardcore gamer who plays a lot of mobile genres.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in the mobile gaming industry, preferably in market analysis, game publishing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of mobile game trends, genres, and monetization models (e.g., in-app purchases, ads, subscriptions).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with developers and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the Vietnamese gaming market and its unique characteristics is a plus.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, or mobile game analytics platforms (e.g., App Annie, Sensor Tower).
  • Proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus.
Reporting Structure:
  • Reports directly to the Head of Operations in Vietnam.
  • Collaborates with marketing, finance, and product teams.
