- Design Review:
- Lead and manage design review projects, in terms of quality and schedule, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client requirements, company and industry standards.
- Establish and enforce rigorous review protocols, methodologies, and best practices to evaluate design documents, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Manage design review teams, work closely with project managers and stakeholders to identify potential design issues, optimize solutions, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and design review team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Assistance with Tender Processes:
- Support tender assistance teams by providing technical input, reviewing tender documents, and offering expertise in developing technical specifications, scope of work, and evaluation criteria.
- Assist in the evaluation of technical proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify technical requirements, respond to inquiries, and facilitate the tendering process.
- Support for Site Inspection:
- Collaborate with site inspection teams to provide technical support, guidance, and expertise as needed to address technical queries, resolve issues, and verify compliance with project requirements.
- Review site inspection reports, findings, and recommendations (if required) to ensure alignment with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement quality assurance measures to monitor the effectiveness of the design review process and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct lessons learned sessions and post-project reviews to capture best practices, lessons learned, and opportunities for innovation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in design review activities and related support functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Master's degree or higher is an advantage.
- Practising Certificate Grade II or I for Structural Design.
- Proven experience (more than 10 years) in structural design/ design review, preferably within an international company or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards and proficiency in industry software tools.
- Strong technical expertise across multiple engineering disciplines, with a focus on structural engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to lead and manage teams, foster collaboration.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Result-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
