Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage design review teams, perform structural design review for specific projects, while also providing support and expertise to other teams, including site inspection and tender assistance.Tasks - Activities - Responsibilities
  • Design Review:
  • Lead and manage design review projects, in terms of quality and schedule, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client requirements, company and industry standards.
  • Establish and enforce rigorous review protocols, methodologies, and best practices to evaluate design documents, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Manage design review teams, work closely with project managers and stakeholders to identify potential design issues, optimize solutions, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and design review team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Assistance with Tender Processes:
  • Support tender assistance teams by providing technical input, reviewing tender documents, and offering expertise in developing technical specifications, scope of work, and evaluation criteria.
  • Assist in the evaluation of technical proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify technical requirements, respond to inquiries, and facilitate the tendering process.
  • Support for Site Inspection:
  • Collaborate with site inspection teams to provide technical support, guidance, and expertise as needed to address technical queries, resolve issues, and verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Review site inspection reports, findings, and recommendations (if required) to ensure alignment with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
  • Implement quality assurance measures to monitor the effectiveness of the design review process and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions and post-project reviews to capture best practices, lessons learned, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in design review activities and related support functions.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Master's degree or higher is an advantage.
  • Practising Certificate Grade II or I for Structural Design.
  • Proven experience (more than 10 years) in structural design/ design review, preferably within an international company or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards and proficiency in industry software tools.
  • Strong technical expertise across multiple engineering disciplines, with a focus on structural engineering.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to lead and manage teams, foster collaboration.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Result-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
