As part of our drive for operational excellence, we are seeking a Purchasing Officer oversee procurement activities. This role is crucial in ensuring a steady and cost-efficient supply of materials, building strong supplier relationships, and supporting overall production efficiency.The Purchasing Officer will oversee the procurement operations, manage vendor relationships, and ensure that raw materials and other supplies are purchased at competitive prices while maintaining the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will supervise the purchasing team and play a key role in developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet the company's goals.Key Responsibilities:Procurement ManagementOversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services to support production and operational needs.Ensure all purchases comply with quality, quantity, and delivery requirements.Develop and maintain a database of approved suppliers and vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality standards.Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.Strategic SourcingNegotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.Develop long-term partnerships with reliable suppliers to ensure stability and consistency in supply.Identify alternative sources for critical materials to mitigate risks and reduce dependency on single suppliers.Team CoordinationCollaborate with production, planning, and logistics teams to forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels.Ensure effective communication between internal stakeholders and suppliers for timely resolution of issues.Budget and Cost ManagementMonitor and control procurement budgets to ensure alignment with company objectives.Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or delivery timelines.Analyze spending patterns and provide periodic reports on procurement activities to the Supply Chain Manager.Compliance and ReportingEnsure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation.Provide regular reports on supplier performance, procurement costs, and operational efficiency.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum 4 years-experienced in Procurement or Purchasing Role (in Manufacturing Environment is prefer)Plastic manufacturing industry and/or used to work with Japanese Management will be an advantageStrong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Intermediate Level in English both written and spokenAble to start immediately will be a plusFor more information, please contact Hung Nguyen via +84 355 385 791 or hung.nguyentien@manpower.com.vn
