1. Purpose of the role
As an Account Director, you will build excellent relationships with senior-level clients, positioning our client as a valued strategic partner through a consistent approach to high-quality delivery. You will be critical to client development plans, with an entrepreneurial approach that quickly identifies opportunities to increase revenue within the client base while working closely with the Client Partner / Client Services to ensure best-in-class delivery. You will provide leadership and guidance to your direct reports and any other supporting teams to ensure they have the means to deliver excellent client service and meet commercial targets.Services & Proposition Development - Activating their proposition
  • Working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accounts are managed and set up efficiently. This is the foundation upon which they can activate the company proposition, based on expertise in multi-channel delivery, creative, data, technology, retail, and creative production.
  • Interpreting and refining propositions to tailor them to their clients needs helping to develop opportunities with both new prospects and existing clients.
Commercials & Growth - Driving growth
  • Building client relationships and using strategic partnerships to drive growth.
  • Creating and owning clear strategic plans for their accounts to ensure long-term profitability and growth are maximized, delivering to company goals and targets.
  • Developing a clear understanding of the client's business priorities by building and maintaining great relationships with multiple client stakeholders.
  • Managing and owning the commercials across your client portfolio to ensure the profitability targets are achieved.
  • Providing regular internal financial updates on the opportunities and risks across your client portfolio and develop strategies to overcome potential risks
Team Dynamic - Inspire people across the business, driving a team of brief makers (not brief takers)
  • Creating an inclusive environment that ensures open communication, being responsible for cascading and communicating key strategy messages to team members to ensure full understanding and adoption.
  • Developing a team of experienced that identify opportunities or challenges, then provide recommendations and direction to the client as well as internal teams.
2. Skills, Knowledge, Experience And Exposure
  • 7-10 years of relevant industry experience in client services or account management with a proven track record of exceeding client expectations and building long-term, mutually- beneficial relationships.
  • Industry experience in Retail, FMCG, Beverage, and Beauty is preferred
  • Working on high-profile accounts with multi-disciplined account and agency teams.
  • Proven ability to manage managers, develop staff, resolve performance issues, and formulate resource plans.
  • Full understanding of the entire end-to-end marketing process from client strategic requirements to delivery cross-channels.
  • Intuitive ability to deconstruct problems and craft solutions within the context of a strategic objective, appreciating both the big picture and the details of any given situation.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills and the ability to communicate across many organizational levels. Has experience in delivering inspiring communications to motivate clients and colleagues. Has excellent listening skills.
The mindset to navigate the role
  • Broader their services (Retail X, Tech, Creative, Agency Services..) to support strategic roadmap and planning;
  • Strong commercial acumen, with an ability to critically evaluate financial and commercial risks and benefits of current business relationships and development opportunities, as well as influencing and negotiating.
  • Understands the importance of data and data accuracy and uses it to make intelligent decisions and drive business intelligence. Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and an understanding of PowerBI will be a plus in preparing decks and delivering presentations to the stakeholders.
  • Deliver expected performance, service, and value.
Soft skills
  • Demonstrable experience in collaboration with peers and virtual teams and managing team with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback and challenges.
  • Highly organized, result-oriented, attentive to details, client-focused, and proactive
  • Can do attitude and an ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and consistently manage timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Role Requirements
  • Onsite in Client office.
  • Willing to handle any clients in different industries.
