This person will set up the new AI capability for the company to drive more AI-driven innovation and its applications.

Oversee the entire AI/ML development life cycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment, optimisation, and integration, ensuring the successful implementation of AI-driven solutions across various business functions.
Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for the growth and evolution of the AI/ML department, ensuring the team's capabilities and resources remain aligned with the company's long-term strategic objectives.
Identify and prioritise key areas for AI integration across various functions, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
Build and lead a high-performance team of AI/ML researchers, engineers, and data scientists, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Forge strategic partnerships with research institutions, universities, and industry leaders to accelerate innovation and knowledge sharing.

Hold a Ph.D. or a master's degree in computer science, AI, Machine Learning, Math or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in leading and growing an AI/ML/Analytics/ Data Science function within a large organisation
Strong technical skills background to enable clear direction and effective evaluation of AI/ML & Data Science projects
Experienced in setting and driving AI/ML/Data Science strategy from the short to long term, and selling this into key stakeholders to secure business case funding
