ERM PRACTICES:ERM has experienced strong growth both globally and in the Asia Pacific region over the past decades and is now in a position to leverage that growth to diversity the company’s service delivery in the field of Mergers and Acquisitions and Sustainable Operations (SO). The company’s practices cover the following services:
  • EHS legal services (e.g. legal advisory, Legal register, legal update, permitting), including the development and review and provision of advisories of such.
  • EHS Audit/ Assurance – performance-based auditing including compliance audit and audit program development.
  • Phase I EDD/ ESA, EHS and Social, and ESG due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, IPOs, and property sales and leases.
  • EHS and Social due diligence for project finance including reviews against international standards e.g. Equator Principle, IFC Performance Standards, ADB Safeguard Policy Statement.
  • Health and Safety Programs – Safety audits, management programs, transformation and coaching based interventions.
  • E&S Management Systems and Compliance Support – including performance-based assessment and compliance assurance.
  • Sustainability advisory and reporting – including ESG advisory, development of sustainability reports and provision of data assurance.
  • Client Training Programs - Accelerative learning, high impact, tailored E&S training. (For SC)
  • Sustainable Products and Supply Chain - Including product certification and litigation support.
ROLE PROFILE:
  • Assist team in delivery of tasks under the supervision of a project manager across Vietnam and in the region, including but not limited to EHS and social audits, due diligence assessments, Phase I, regulatory review and advisory services. Tasks may include:
  • Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability, site investigation, and due diligence transaction projects;
  • Support the development of EHS compliance and management system programs;
  • Provide general EHS compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed;
  • Support Phase I environmental site assessments;
  • Conduct environmental field work
  • Keep up to date with EHS regulations in Vietnam and international standards and good industries practices (GIP);
  • Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables;
  • Develop consulting skills, obtain understanding of ERM practices, clients and products and services;
  • Support development of proposals, marketing and business development activities.
  • Take other appointments reasonably from Line Manager as needed from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCES:
  • Bachelor degree in a discipline such as environmental science, environmental engineering, occupational health and safety
  • Master’s Degree in an environmental/ occupational health and safety discipline is preferable
  • Minimum of 1-3-years work experience either in a consultancy or in industry or similar experience is preferable
  • Must be fluent in English, reading, writing and conversation
  • Good understanding of EHS management practices, regulatory requirements, and international standards (e.g. IFC performance standards, ADB Safeguard Policy Statement) and guidelines, and ATSM for Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to think strategically, analyze and synthesize diverse information and data.
  • Strong team player, ability to work collaboratively and effectively with project teams based around the region.
  • Self-starter, pro-active, willing to take initiative
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, takes accountability for own tasks
