Job Description
Assisting the Chef de Partie Pastry in managing the pastry section of the resort's kitchen and supervising the work of junior pastry chefs, bakers, and other support staff.
Ensuring that all pastry items are prepared and presented to the highest standards of taste, quality, and consistency.
Helping in the development and implementation of new pastry concepts, recipes, and menu items in collaboration with the Chef de Partie Pastry and other kitchen staff.
Assisting in ordering, receiving, and coordinating the use of all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment required for pastry preparation.
Ensuring that all food safety and hygienic practices are strictly followed in the pastry section of the kitchen.
Maintaining accurate records of pastry stock levels, food wastage, and other relevant data.
Actively participating in the training and development of junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in culinary arts, patisserie, or a related field.
2+ years of experience working in a reputable restaurant or hotel pastry section.
Technical knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and kitchen equipment.
Some experience in developing and implementing pastry concepts, recipes, and menu items.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in the Hospitality industry. Fluent in both spoken and written English and Vietnamese.
