Location: Business Bay, Dubai | Employment: Full-time | Industry: Payment/GamingResponsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and services to support business-critical applications.
  • Develop robust APIs and integration layers using Java and/or Node.js, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
  • Implement efficient data processing pipelines and services for handling large-scale information (JSON, XML, SQL/NoSQL).
  • Optimize system performance through profiling, debugging, and tuning.
  • Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and infrastructure teams to design end-to-end solutions.
  • Continuously research and adopt new technologies and best practices to improve backend architecture and development processes.
⸻ Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Java (OOP, multithreading, exception handling, I/O, collections, streams) and/or JavaScript (ES6+) with Node.js.
  • Solid knowledge of the Node.js ecosystem: npm, dependency management, asynchronous programming, file system operations, process handling.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of database design and working experience with SQL/NoSQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis). * Familiarity with system integration, authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT, session management).
  • Skilled in debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving.
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience building backend systems for high-concurrency environments (e.g., fintech, gaming, MMO platforms).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, deployment automation).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience in distributed systems and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis streams).
