- Take lead in developing proposals for assigned research and consultancy projects;
- Take lead in designing the research (develop detailed methodology, study tools, work plan, budget for the researches and consultancy projects);
- Assign tasks to and supervise the research team; monitor the project progress;
- Conduct fieldwork (in-depth interview, data collection) as part of the research if necessary;
- Analyze data, write reports and other publications/outputs (article/journal papers, book chapters, policy briefs, etc.);
- Ensure quality of all project activities;
- Present results of researches and consultation projects at workshop and dissemination events;
- Communicate with clients, donors;
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients/donnor, local partners and collaborators (external experts);
- Build the expert network to join DEPOCEN team in research and consultancy projects;
- Other tasks appropriately with expertise requested by higher manager.
- PhD in Economics and/or other related fields. Candidates holding a Master Degree with outstanding academic records are encouraged to apply (foreign master degrees are preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in conducting the research and consultancy projects
- Critical thinking, and excellent writing and analytical skills
- Excellent command in English
- Strong capability to work both independently and in team.
- Willingness to travel to provinces (including remote areas) for fieldwork when necessary.
- Develop proposals for research and consultancy projects;
- Conduct literature review, develop methodology, data collection tools, work plan, budget for running the assigned project;
- Conduct fieldwork (training and supervising enumerators; collecting data);
- Analyze data and produce reports and other outputs;
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, local partners and collaborators (external experts, supervisors and enumerators);
- Other tasks appropriately with expertise requested by higher manager.
- Master/bachelor degree in Economics, Sociology, Public Health and/or other related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in conducting the research and consultancy projects
- Critical thinking, and excellent writing and analytical skills
- Excellent command in English
- Strong capability to work both independently and in team.
- Willingness to travel to provinces (including remote areas) for fieldwork.
