Senior Product Engineering (motor - gearbox)

• Position: Senior Professional Plant Product Engineering - Vietnam Plant

• Supervisor Position: Maintenance & Engineering Manager

• Subordinate: R&D Engineer (2)

• Matrix Manager Position: Head of Electric Motors Platform, Head of Industrial & Robotics Gearboxes Platform

• Working location : Binh Duong

• Local Product Customization Projects - Non relevant Functional parameters changes

• Manages plant-level customization activities related to product variants, adaptations of electric motors and Industrial gearboxes manufactured in the plant

• Performs technical requirements analysis and supports the definition of product configurations based on customer or market requirements o Responsible for the design and technical definition of local product variants and minor modifications

• Prepares and releases product and component drawings, CAD models, BOMs and related technical documentation according to HQ R&D procedures

• Prepares technical inputs for Product Cost Analysis (PCA), including product bill of material, volumes and proto/production volumes and required delivery milestones

• Ensures development activities follow methodologies, standards and processes defined by HQ R&D

• Product technical changes

• Supports HQ R&D Platforms in managing engineering changes (ECR/ECN) of the product portfolio related to electric motors and Industrial gearboxes produced in the plant

• Supports local quality and HQ R&D Platforms in the evaluation and approval of deviation requests related to production or technical specifications according to HQ Procedure

• Ensures proper implementation of engineering changes in coordination with Manufacturing, Operations Engineering and Quality

• Ensures traceability and proper documentation of design changes according to HQ R&D Procedures

• Product Certifications

• Supports product certification activities for motors manufactured in the plant

• Ensures that products configuration identified in the customization projects comply with applicable international standards and regulatory requirements such as EU Directive “2006/42/CE” and so on

• Product Cost & Technical Optimization

• Supports product cost analysis and technical optimization initiatives o Identifies opportunities for cost reduction through design/processes improvements or component optimization

• Collaborates with Purchasing, Operations and HQ R&D to ensure cost competitiveness and manufacturability

• Branches Technical Support for Application analysis

• Provides technical support to Branches Application Partners during customer discussions

• Supports customer/certification (UL BIS, …) audits related to product engineering and technical documentation (especially M&W customers)

• 8-10 + years of experience in:

• Electric motor/industrial gearboxes application analysis and design

• Product development process and engineering change management (ECR/ECN) in an industrial environment

• Experience working within structured R&D processes and product lifecycle management systems (CAD, BOM management, technical documentation, engineering release

• Proven experience operating in manufacturing environments, collaborating with production, quality, and industrial engineering teams

• Exposure to international engineering organizations, collaborating with central R&D teams and global product platforms

• Experience supporting customer technical discussions, feasibility assessments, and product customization requests in industrial markets
