Retrofit Application Engineer - SEA

- Perform fan and heater selection using Howden’s proprietary in-house software.
- Design and develop retrofit solutions for centrifugal fans based on site-specific requirements and performance targets.
- Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Conduct advanced engineering simulations and calculations, including FEA for structural, thermal, and vibration analysis, to ensure design robustness and reliability.
- Collaborate with the sales and proposals team to provide technical input during the bidding phase.
- Participate in site investigations to assess existing equipment and gather critical data for retrofit design.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and field service teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of retrofit projects.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, FEA analysis results, and installation guidelines.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and internal quality procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably involving rotating equipment or centrifugal fans.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and mechanical design software.
- Strong expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using tools such as Inventor Nastran, ANSYS, or similar.
- Solid understanding of fan performance principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with retrofit projects or field-based engineering is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Southeast Asia for site visits and project support.
