Our flagship product, XData, redefines data analytics by providing advanced insights and innovative solutions that drive meaningful outcomes.Overwiew:We are currently seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team for a critical core banking system migration project. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in migrating logic to a new core system, analyzing and standardizing code into documentation, and supporting the creation of system diagrams. This role requires a solid foundation in backend technologies, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.Key Responsibilities:

Migrate existing system logic and integrate it into a new core banking platform.
Analyze existing codebase to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and standardization into clear documentation.
Support the creation of various system architecture and workflow diagrams to aid in understanding and documentation.
Design RESTful APIs for efficient and secure data access and manipulation.
Implement and maintain microservices architecture, ensuring high availability and scalability.
Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka for real-time data processing.
Develop and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including writing and optimizing stored procedures

Key requirements:

Proficiency in Java and familiarity with IBM technologies is a plus.
Solid experience in designing RESTful APIs and implementing microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience with Kafka and PostgreSQL, including stored procedures.
Demonstrated experience in system migration projects, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
Knowledge of banking processes and the Thought Machine platform is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, with a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Proactive in asking questions and raising concerns when necessary.
