Brot für die Welt is the development agency of the Protestant regional and free churches in Germany and is active worldwide. In the Vietnam and Laos region, Brot für die Welt works through its regional office in Hanoi (VEST) with more than 40 partner organizations. These partners are mainly non-governmental organizations engaged in areas such as rural development, agriculture, community work, support for minorities, and addressing the impacts of climate change.The VEST office specifically supports partner organizations in strengthening their technical and organizational capacities to enable professional and effective development cooperation. The aim is to empower partners to develop and implement context-appropriate solutions as strong civil society actors, even in the face of complex societal challenges.You are located in Hanoi, Vietnam.Job Scope
As a professional, you will support partner organizations in systematically expanding their competencies in results-oriented planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (PMEL).In particular, you will be responsible for:
- Together with partner organisations you will analyse their needs and existing knowledge in the areas of monitoring, evaluation, and IT-supported data collection
- You will design, organize and conduct needs-based trainings, workshops, and individual coaching sessions on monitoring systems, impact measurement, and reporting in Vietnam and Laos.
- You will advise and support partner organisations in the development, application, and further development of PMEL systems as well as in the presentation of results and impacts.
- You will support partner organizations in the introduction and use of storytelling methods and good practice examples for effective public relations work.
- Together with the VEST team you will evaluate the partner organisation’s reporting, identify training needs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the programs.
- You have a university degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences or development cooperation.
- You have solid experience in the development and application of monitoring and evaluation systems (PMEL).
- You enjoy organising and conducting trainings, workshops, and coaching sessions and have a broad repertoire of participatory methods.
- Your excellent English skills enable you to communicate effectively with partners; you are open to intensively learning the Vietnamese language.
- You are able to respond flexibly and solution-oriented to unexpected situations and challenges.
- You have a high level of intercultural sensitivity and experience, preferably in Southeast Asia.
