- Analyze real user needs, business workflows, and system behaviors
- Identify potential risks, edge cases, and quality gaps early in the product lifecycle
- Answer the critical question: What could go wrong - and how do we ensure it works reliably in real-world conditions?
- Define testing strategies aligned with product complexity and business context
- Participate in discussions on: Business logic & system design to ensure testability and quality from the ground up
- Evaluate trade-offs between: Speed of delivery; Test coverage; System reliability; Long-term scalability
- Review and elevate test cases, test plans, and testing practices across the team
- Deep dive into complex scenarios: Data flows; Cross-module interactions; Integration points
- Handle critical issues: Production bugs; Regression risks; High-impact defects
- Manage and grow a team of ~10 QA engineers
- Provide coaching to elevate: Test design thinking; System understanding; Product mindset
- Build a strong QA culture focused on: Ownership; Proactiveness; Continuous improvement
- Participate in cross-functional discussions with Product, Engineering
- Be a mentor and a learner in a fast-growing product environment
- Continuously develop your: Quality mindset; System thinking; Leadership capabilities
- You have a solid foundation in software testing principles, test design techniques, and quality assurance methodologies
- You are experienced in manual testing, especially with complex systems involving: Business logic, data flows, and cross-module interactions
- You are comfortable working with: Restful APIs, databases (e.g. MySQL), and debugging tools to investigate issues deeply
- You have worked on products in production environments, serving real users at scale
- You understand how systems behave under complexity: Multiple modules, large datasets, integrations
- Experience with performance, scalability, or production incident handling is a strong advantage
- You have experience leading or mentoring QA engineers (ideally teams of 5-10 people)
- You are capable of: Coaching team members; Raising the bar for test design and system thinking
