You will be based in HCMC, and you will work in the officeGet to Know the RoleAs an Android Engineer on our team, you'll ensure quality deliverables for main services across user journeys in Grab's Android app. Not only will you get to collaborate with the tech, product, and business teams to be on top of your deliverables, but you will also serve as a mentor to your teammates to help meet the teams' deliverables and goals.The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Design and write in RxJava and Kotlin.
Collaborate with mobile and backend engineers, designers, data scientists, and product managers to architect features.
Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
Brainstorm ideas, identify problems, and propose and implement solutions geared towards scale and performance.
Improve the codebase. Propose and set better engineering solutions for the team.
Be responsible and responsive during on-call duty. Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to peers.

QualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will Need

2+ years of professional Android development experience.
Solid computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
Experience managing an end-to-end feature.
Experience running large-scale applications and global understanding of systems internals and tools like crash analytics, remote debugging, and continuous integration.
Experience writing maintainable and testable code that includes excellent API design, unit testing, and UI testing techniques.
Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners
