Our teams are organised by business domain and take ownership of everything they do in a you built it, you own it, model.SCOPE OF ROLEWe’re looking for a GA Specialist who will own, manage, and customise our Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) capabilities end-to-end. Sitting within Engineering, you’ll establish and enforce the tagging cadence and best practices, govern changes through version control and reviews, and ensure our analytics platform is optimised, reliable, privacy-safe, and trusted. You’ll partner closely with the Data team to ensure clean, well-modeled clickstream data in BigQuery that powers product, CX, and growth decisions.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to GA4 and data analytics as a whole.
  • Google Analytics Expertise: Leverage your comprehensive knowledge of both Universal Analytics and GA4 to track, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with business objectives.Experience in setting up and customising tags, measurements and events within the GA4 platform with engineers.
  • Tag Implementation: Lead GA4/gtag.js/GTM and Server‑side GTM implementations; design robust data‑layer contracts; implement across web and mobile apps alongside engineers
  • Data Validation: Develop and execute thorough testing plans to validate the accuracy and integrity of data in GA4, continuous validation and regression testing during product changes and tag releases.
  • Data Visualisation: Develop visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Looker Studio) to effectively communicate findings and trends to stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data, Trade, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to provide analytical support, answer ad hoc data-related queries, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
WHAT IT TAKES
  • 4+ years in digital analytics with deep GA4 expertise across web and app.
  • Strong GTM and Server-side GTM experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.
  • Comfortable partnering with engineers; can read JSON payloads, review product requirements, and write clear tagging specs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ways to stand out from the crowd
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management or other relevant technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Javascript and/or Python programming.
  • Experience in e-commerce and/or retail.
  • Familiarity with affiliate program integrations (e.g. cashback, partnerize)
