Our client is seeking several experienced Senior EMS/PPC Testing and Validation Engineers to join our Global Delivery Team. You will ensure and demonstrate the quality, reliability, and safety of our EMS/PPC products to global clients through the design, execution, and oversight of rigorous validation testing. This role is critical for the successful deployment and acceptance of global grid solutions.This position will work in the Southeast Asian region and also will have business trips within Southeast Asia as per project needs.Core Responsibilities
  • Test Outline Design and Execution: Develop comprehensive EMS/PPC testing plans and processes for various projects at Envision, based on headquarters' requirements, local grid standards, and client needs.
  • On-Site Testing Validation: Lead and execute EMS/PPC commissioning, testing, and validation globally, conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), assist clients with Control on Delivery (COD) acceptance tests, and independently troubleshoot technical issues during testing.
  • Data Analysis and Root Cause Analysis: Rigorously analyze test data to identify performance trends, deviations, and potential defects; write professional test reports in both English and Chinese, including results, findings, conclusions, and improvement recommendations.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with global R&D, project management, sales engineering, and customer support teams to advance product testing validation and customer acceptance processes based on an understanding of product design logic, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Standards and Safety: Ensure all tests comply with international standards and other strict safety regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the optimization of testing methodologies, best practices, and quality standards within the global validation team.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience: Over 5 years of experience in delivery, deployment, validation, and testing of grid connection control software for wind farms, as well as experience in power plant grid connection testing and validation (experience in EPC/BOP grid management is highly preferred).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation, or related fields.
  • Technical Skills:
  • 1.Possess a solid background in electrical engineering with a deep understanding of active and reactive power, frequency, and voltage control in power grids. Practical delivery project experience is preferred (candidates with experience in renewable energy plant design and grid connection testing will be prioritized).
  • 2.Specific project testing experience with Wind Energy Management Systems (Wind- EMS) and Power Plant Controllers (PPC), including but not limited to the following validation areas: product-level control logic validation, system-level performance validation (including local grid connection requirement validation), integration interfaces with third-party systems (such as SVG, substation automation systems, SCADA, OLTC, etc.) and grid validation (Modbus/IEC104/OPCUA, etc.).
  • 3.Familiarity with the local Grid Code and testing requirements for the target region
  • English: Fluent in English, capable of explaining specific technical details to clients clearly and logically. Strong communication skills are necessary to efficiently collaborate with global teams and international clients, including the ability to write English testing reports.
  • Chinese (Mandarin): Must be fluent in Mandarin to coordinate effectively with the R&D center and manufacturing team based in the China headquarters.
