Regional Procurement APAC is responsible for aligning and working closely with the Global commodity teams and the regional COO to effectively implement Procurement strategies and tactical plans from these areas.COO APAC

Direct Material Procurement APAC SEA & ANZResponsibilities
  • Identify potential suppliers across different commodities from Vietnam aligning with Vestas' expectations
  • Support in developing and implementing strategies for commodities, ensuring strategic focus, best-in-class supplier performance, technology innovation screening, ensuring competitive advantages based on Global and Regional input from management
  • Work with Regional Procurement Program Management and Project Team closely to understand the Local content requirements and translate into Procurement initiatives
  • Contract / Purchase agreement execution
  • Country-specific certification requirements
  • Support in to collect Request for Information RFI / Capability assessment and recommendations
  • Expected to travel within the country to visit the suppliers (50% in 1st year )
  • Engage and negotiate with suppliers and update group costs for the identified components
  • Support BC inputs by providing appropriate cost information
  • Provide key inputs to Purchasing managers for Module Ownership Meetings for NPIs
  • Represent Vestas as Sourcing point of contact in Domestic Suppliers' forums
Qualifications
  • Very good knowledge of the supply base in Vietnam and the region. English fluency
  • Hands-on experience in Identifying, Developing and Governing suppliers
  • 8 to 10 years of Procurement function experience
  • Degree in Engineering or Science or Supply Chain management

  • Ability to work efficiently in complex and collaborative environments with multi-stakeholders across different cultures
  • Ability to develop the GP agenda and articulate it effectively to ensure that we have the optimum Supply chain setup
  • Team-oriented person and committed to securing the productive implementation of the initiatives you coordinate
  • Holistic and positive mindset: You can see the big picture from Vestas' offerings towards customers and the ability to connect these to supplier offerings and how they can positively impact Vestas sales and cost-out programs
  • Solid pragmatical, structured and fact-based
  • Efficient leader and influencer with the ability to bring people together across functions
  • Internal management exposure and good knowledge of executive summaries and presentations
