Responsibilities:1. Contribute to financial objectivesMaximize equipment efficiency to lower cost per unit and reduce energy usage.Drive process improvements to increase production output while minimizing waste.Assist in return-on-investment evaluations for new equipment and automation solutions.Improve equipment reliability to reduce unplanned downtime and production losses.2. Contribute to customer objectivesMaintain consistent output of safe, high-quality pasteurized sausages that meet or surpass customer standards.Work closely with Quality Assurance to minimize consumer complaints and raise satisfaction metrics.Support product development efforts aimed at enhancing shelf stability and consumer appeal.Offer technical support during key customer quality audits and evaluations.3. Contribute to internal process objectivesLead the design, refinement, and standardization of sausage pasteurization systems, including thermal processing, packaging, and sanitation controls.Identify root causes of production delays and implement effective solutions.Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to boost line productivity.Track and improve operational KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), microbial reduction, and cycle time compliance.4. Contribute to learning & growth objectivesTrain technical personnel in operating pasteurization equipment and adhering to quality standards.Stay current on global trends in thermal food processing and food safety regulations.Engage in knowledge-sharing platforms such as industry events and technical forums.Promote innovation by mentoring junior engineers and encouraging continuous improvement ideas.Requirements:Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.At least 15 years of experience in the meat processing industry, ideally involving pasteurized products.Practical experience with automated sausage stuffing and casing machinery.Solid understanding of CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and hygienic design concepts.Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma are highly preferred.
