Our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team is internationally recognised for delivering high-performance, resilient and sustainable data centre solutions for hyperscale, colocation and enterprise clients.As Southeast Asia continues to experience rapid digital infrastructure growth, we are strengthening our regional MCF leadership capability and are seeking an experienced Senior Physical Security Engineer to drive technical excellence and delivery performance across major developments in APAC.The role is open to candidates based in either Ho Chi Minh City or Jakarta. Given the regional nature of the position, periodic travel between both locations will be expected.What will you doAs a Senior Physical Security Consultant within our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team, you will lead the development and implementation of integrated physical security strategies for complex data centre projects. You will act as the subject matter expert for physical and electronic security systems, advising clients at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.In this role, you are responsible for translating risk assessments into robust, future-proof security concepts that protect critical infrastructure while aligning with operational, regulatory, and business objectives. You will work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure security is seamlessly embedded into the overall data centre design.Key responsibilities:

Lead security risk assessments and threat analyses for hyperscale, colocation, and mission-critical facilities.
Develop and own integrated security strategies covering organisational, architectural, civil, and electronic security measures.
Define and review security system architectures, including access control, Video Surveillance Systems, perimeter intrusion detection, and associated network infrastructure.
Ensure alignment with relevant standards and compliance frameworks.
Act as technical authority for physical security within project teams, providing design validation and sign-off.
Represent Haskoning in client-facing engagements and workshops
Coordinate with system integrators, specialist consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained through implementation.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous development of internal security knowledge and standards.

A completed technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Extra Low Voltage systems).
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in physical security design, consultancy, or engineering, preferably within mission critical or high-risk environments.
Demonstrated experience leading security strategy development and system design for complex facilities such as data centres, critical infrastructure, industrial sites, or high-security buildings.
Proven track record in conducting threat and risk assessments and translating findings into integrated security concepts.
Experience acting as technical lead or subject matter expert within multidisciplinary project teams.
Client-facing experience, including leading workshops, presenting concepts, and advising senior stakeholders.
Experience coordinating with system integrators, contractors, and specialist consultants during design and implementation phases.
Familiarity with procurement processes, technical specifications, tender documentation, and design review procedures
Experience mentoring junior engineers or contributing to internal knowledge development is considered a strong advantage.
