
Assistant Event Manager

- Support the development of Event's strategy and direction to enrich Informa Markets' value proposition
- Conduct market research, analyze competitors, and support the development and positioning of new event concepts
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new show development, bringing data-backed insights and business leads
- Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for overall commercial success
- Search and evaluate new prospects, build exhibitor database and business pipeline
- Identify clients' needs and maintain relationships (mostly with senior positions)
- Increase revenue with existing clients and handle day-to-day client requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior-level clients, industry associations, and government stakeholders to enhance event visibility and strategic reach
- Design the Event experience, ensuring high-level delivery in support of the Event's strategy and customer needs
- Oversee the Event floorplan (managed by the Sales Operations team), escalating strategic decisions when required
- Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure seamless event execution and top-tier customer experience
- Report directly to and support the Senior Business Development Manager in various strategic and operational matters
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Ideally 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the exhibitions or event industry
- Professional Lifestyle background is a plus
- Fluent Chinese as you will work closely with our team in China
- Fluent English
- Exceptional presentation, communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills
- Proficient in market research, sales strategy, and lead generation
- Target oriented with focus on sales excellence
