What you will do:
  • Define the technical direction, architecture, and execution plan for TymeX’s new credit card platform, in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Lead the development of core components including virtual card issuance, transaction routing, credit limit management, and repayment and interest workflows
  • Promote best practices in cloud-native development, including event-driven microservices, security, observability, and failover readiness
  • Build and manage a team of backend and full-stack engineers through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
  • Drive agile software development practices with strong attention to quality, velocity, and accountability
  • Set clear goals and foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and excellence
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Risk to ensure that engineering choices support product vision, user needs, and compliance obligations
  • Manage third-party integrations including card processors, credit bureaus, and fraud monitoring services
  • Work closely with Compliance and Finance teams to implement controls for credit disbursement, repayments, and customer lifecycle risk
RequirementsRequirements:
  • 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 4+ years in senior engineering leadership roles
  • Deep and proven experience in Card Management System (CMS) development, integration, or card issuing within banking or fintech industries
  • Comprehensive understanding of card-related transaction processing, limit management, ledger management, and the full card lifecycle
  • Experience successfully managing and mentoring high-performing mid-sized engineering teams, fostering professional growth and team performance
  • Ability to proactively shape technical architecture, collaborate closely with Product Managers, and deliver practical, effective solutions
  • Strong proficiency in microservices architecture, REST APIs, AWS services (Lambda, S3, ECS, EKS), databases (MySQL, MongoDB), and modern DevOps practices
