- Areas of interest: Integrated AI; Autonomous Systems & Precision Manufacturing; Responsible, ethical AI; Human-compatible Robotics; Brain Interfaces & Cognitive AI.
- Research: Conduct original, high-impact research projects, contribute to peer-reviewed publications in top-tier venues, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines. Your research projects will be implemented in collaboration with the Research Center of Brain, AI & Robotics to foster impactful outcomes.
- Service & Teaching: While there are no mandatory teaching duties, candidates may choose to contribute as Teaching Assistants by mutual agreement.
- Educational Background: Ph.D. degree from prestigious university.
- Research Excellence: Proven track record of impactful research, demonstrated through publications in prestigious journals.
- Skills: Outstanding communication, collaboration, and teamwork capabilities.
- Host/Mentor and Research Plan: The applicant must be accepted as a mentee by a VinUni scientist who will oversee the research. Preliminary research plan developed in consultation with a VinUni research team leader.
- Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary of up to US$40,000 per year, with additional performance-based research incentives.
- Duration: The Research Fellowship is initially awarded for 12 months. Long-term appointment is granted based on outstanding performance.
- Research Facilities: Access to cutting-edge research infrastructure and collaboration opportunities with leading research groups at partner universities and within the Vingroup ecosystem.
- Work permit: VinUniversity will assist in and provide advice for obtaining the necessary paperwork needed for employment in Vietnam (visa, work permit, insurance, etc.). However, it is your responsibility to ensure that you can satisfy all the paper requirements in a timely manner.
