- We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Manager to join our client's team.
- As the Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance and regulatory adherence within the insurance industry. You will be responsible for managing various legal aspects of our operations, particularly in working closely with insurance providers and overseeing new projects related to insurance compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to the insurance sector.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate legal risks and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for legal matters with insurance providers and partners.
- Negotiate and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with insurance companies to ensure favorable terms and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage new projects related to insurance compliance and regulatory initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to address legal and regulatory challenges effectively.
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on insurance-related matters, including product development, distribution, and marketing.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and initiatives.
- Identify legal risks and issues affecting the insurance business and develop proactive measures to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Handle legal disputes and litigation matters involving insurance providers, ensuring timely resolution and favorable outcomes.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on legal compliance and regulatory affairs.
- Proven track record of managing legal projects and initiatives in a complex regulatory environment.
- Strong knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
