In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.About this teamFrom initial design concept through commercialization, Footwear Product Development is responsible for shepherding each model through the process to ensure the execution aligns with the product intent. This teams serves as an integral part of “bringing the product to life” through technical acumen, problem solving skills, program management and cross functional collaboration. Ensuring product integrity, on-time execution, design intent and manufacturing feasibility.A day in the life:The Manager of Regional Product Development Engineering will be responsible for supporting HQ Product development by leading the regional team to manage direct communication with the local factory base to ensure clear understanding of the technical requirements and key design points while engaging creative problem solving, high level program management and quality issue resolution skills to ensure best in class products.

Supervise product creation process in a direct-to-factory environment where HQ Developers communicate directly to factory partners with the LLO Development Engineer playing a supporting role.
Lead, train, mentor and coach the team of technical experts
Partner with multiple factory partners to streamline communication and standardize operating procedures.
Utilize specialized experience to foresee potential development and engineering risks and use broad industry knowledge base to create mainline solutions.
Utilize technical skills to review pattern files, validate bottom part 2D/3D for accurate execution, and obsess manufacturing efficiency.
Adhere to predetermined timelines and gates, actively tracking progress and giving updates on agreed upon basis to HQ teammates.
Review samples to ensure proper execution, quality and performance prior to shipping.
Coordinate travel between factories in N. and S. Vietnam to accomplish the needs of individual styles and projects.
Participate in the Buy Ready and Commercialization trials to ensure new styles are manufacturable and ready for production while meeting the highest quality standard.
Drive opportunities for co-creation with vendors and external partners

Qualifications:

4 year BS degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or directly related scientific discipline.
10+ years minimum footwear industry experience in Development, Pattern Engineering, Tooling Engineering, Footwear Engineering and/or Manufacturing.
3+ years in people management
In-depth knowledge of footwear construction and manufacturing as well as the end-to-end product life cycle
Solid knowledge of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply this knowledge to product development and challenging technical problems.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills proficient in Vietnamese and English (Chinese a plus)
Ability to implement new ways of working as the organization grows.
Use feedback from cross-functional partners, voice of guest and vendors to improve ways of working with the aim of best product at the best cost.
Proven leader who is passionate about mentoring and teaching others through humility and empathy
Strong interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational, issue resolution, and internal and external relationship management.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence cross-functional teams, as well as work independently all while adapting to a changing environment.
Ability to work through others by delegating and distributing work in order to meet goals.
Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency, collaborative mindset Ability to manage multiple tasks & competing priorities.
Curiosity for change & learning, capable of managing ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to incorporate creativity in technical problem-solving and critical thinking.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook, Adobe Design Suite/Illustrator and Photoshop) and Flex PLM or similar PLM software
Fluent in English and Vietnamese
