- Perform detailed financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis for potential investments in green transitioning sectors such as renewable energy, energy storage, and sustainable infrastructure.
- Assess the financial viability and growth potential of target companies, incorporating ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) metrics into evaluations.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal review and decision-making processes.
- Conduct in-depth research on green transitioning industries, including market trends, competitive landscapes, and technological advancements in clean energy and decarbonization.
- Identify emerging opportunities and risks related to regulatory changes, government incentives, and climate policies impacting sustainable investments.
- Track industry benchmarks and peer performance to inform investment strategies.
- Support due diligence efforts by analyzing target companies financials, operations, and sustainability practices.
- Evaluate environmental impact, carbon reduction potential, and alignment with our client's green transitioning goals.
- Collaborate with legal and operational teams to identify risks and opportunities in deal structures.
- Assist in tracking the performance of portfolio companies, analyzing key financial and ESG metrics to ensure alignment with investment objectives.
- Provide data-driven insights to support value creation initiatives, such as operational improvements or sustainability enhancements, within portfolio companies.
- Prepare periodic updates and reports for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Contribute to identifying and screening potential investment opportunities through industry networks, conferences, and market analysis.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospects in green transitioning sectors, focusing on innovation and scalability.
- Work closely with senior investment professionals, legal staff, and external advisors to execute investment strategies.
- Present findings and recommendations to the investment committee with clarity and confidence.
- 1-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, financial analysis, or a related field; prior exposure to green transitioning industries is a plus.
- Experience with financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market research preferred.
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks or sustainable investing is highly desirable but not required.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis (Excel, VBA, or similar tools).
- Strong research and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings.
- Knowledge of renewable energy, clean tech, or sustainability trends is an advantage.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced coursework or certifications (e.g., CFA Level I) are a plus.
