You’ll be given the opportunity to prove yourself, as well as challenging work that develops your abilities.On career development, there is a wide range of roles in Maersk and Maersk has a very good career mobility program that establishes a culture of priority consideration to internal candidates and encourages employees to take responsibility for managing their careers, whether to move laterally or verticallyJOB RESPONSIBILITIESSupports the senior management team with compliance advice and solutions with an initial strong focus on anti-corruption and trade sanctionsDevelop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures aligned with Maersk and global standards (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act, GDPR, AML)Collaborate with Maersk compliance team to ensure the successful implementation of the local Compliance ProgramProvide consultation/advisory & maintain oversight of government arrangements and interactionsActively pursue ongoing, effective communications and provision of training on compliance requirements. Must be able to communicate fluently in both English and VietnameseIdentify areas of high risk and work with the regional management team to mitigate the identified risks in the entityDevelop solutions to match business and compliance needsProvide guidance on compliance obligations and best practices, including third-party due diligenceAchieve compliance for complex transactions and projects by involving all stakeholdersPerform compliance risk assessments, monitoring and reportingPerform investigations on corruption or trade controls allegationsSupport internal control implementation and effectiveness matters regarding the compliance programMonitor and interpret regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operationsJOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related fields. Candidates with legal or Finance backgrounds are preferred.Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, focusing on corruption prevention/ investigations, foreign trade controls.Strong knowledge of FCPA and UK Bribery Act ComplianceStrong understanding of the Vietnamese regulatory landscape and international compliance lawsExperience in the transportation and logistics sectors is a plusExcellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skillsExperience in conducting due diligence, training, and investigationsHighly motivated and detail-oriented with great organizational skillsAbility to hold a position, yet partnering with the business teams to find solutions to complex issuesCommercial mindset, drive to deliver high-quality resultsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentUnwavering ethics & integrity in a competitive and demanding work environmentAbility to work across culturesCurious, practical-minded and enjoy connecting with people and working in a dynamic, challenging environment.Fluent in English and VietnameseMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
