Category Manager

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies across APAC

• Build and manage a competitive international supplier portfolio

• Establish long-term supplier partnerships and framework agreements

• Drive supplier performance in quality, delivery, and responsiveness

• Deliver cost savings through cost reduction, avoidance, and benchmarking

• Develop and implement structured pricing frameworks and cost models

• Lead supplier negotiations and commercial discussions

• Work closely with Engineering teams to understand technical requirements

• Challenge specifications and propose alternative solutions to improve cost, manufacturability, and supply reliability

• Support design-to-cost and value engineering initiatives

• Collaborate with suppliers on product development and technical optimization

• Identify opportunities for innovation and future product improvements

• Ensure suppliers meet capability, quality, and compliance standards

• Implement dual sourcing and risk mitigation strategies

• Manage supply risks in volatile raw material markets (e.g. metals)

• Ensure supply reliability and business continuity

• Structure, draft, and negotiate supplier agreements (MSAs, framework agreements, pricing models)

• Ensure alignment between commercial terms and operational supply models

• Maintain compliance with internal procurement policies

• Category cost competitiveness (cost reduction, cost avoidance, benchmarking)

• Supplier performance (OTIF, quality, responsiveness, reliability)

• Strength and diversity of supplier portfolio

• Implementation of structured commercial and contractual frameworks

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

• Proven experience in category management or strategic sourcing within industrial/manufacturing environments

• Experience working with international suppliers (Asia, China preferred)

• Strong technical knowledge of PVF products and industrial piping systems

• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost structures

• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and propose technical alternatives

• Strong negotiation and commercial capability

• Experience in contract structuring and supplier agreement management

• Strong English communication skills

• Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen

• Ability to balance technical and commercial considerations
