POSITION SUMMARY:
As Commercial Manager for Vietnam, you will play a key role in driving ADM's commercial strategy in-country by executing trade flows, managing customer relationships, and capturing opportunities in the dynamic market of Vietnam. This role requires a deep understanding of commodity markets and the ability to grow the business in a sustainable way.You will support the General Manager in delivering growth, strengthening ADM's local presence, and collaborating closely with regional and global stakeholders. As a team player, you will help foster a strong, supportive office culture and actively contribute to mentoring and coaching team members to build local capability and performance.YOUR PROFILE & EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of experience in commodity trading, commercial operations, or supply chain in the agri-business sector.
- Strong understanding of Vietnam's commodity markets, including imports, local demand, and distribution channels.
- Demonstrated success in commercial execution and delivering P&L performance.
- Proficiency in team-based work environments with transparent communication across functions.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across feed, food, and industrial sectors.
- Execute commercial strategies, including origination, import, and domestic sales.
- Support the General Manager in managing Vietnam's P&L, with a focus on Gross Margin and controllable costs.
- Monitor market developments and provide timely commercial insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate effectively with regional trading desks, logistics, finance, and operations to ensure seamless execution.
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities aligned with ADM's long-term growth strategy.
- Ensure accurate and timely contract execution, invoicing, and risk management processes.
- Foster teamwork and a collaborative culture within the Vietnam office.
- Mentor and coach junior staff, sharing knowledge and building commercial and operational capabilities across the team to support career growth within the organization
- Represent ADM professionally in customer, industry, and stakeholder meetings.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (agriculture, business, economics, or finance) is required. Post-graduate degrees (Master's, MBA) are advantageous.
