Job summaryA Medical Affairs Manager position has just risen in one of the most reputable, multinational pharmaceutical company.This role would be to serve as the main point of contact for the community within the company, ensuring effective communication and support for the disease area. This role typically involves coordinating medical information, educational initiatives, and collaborations with healthcare professionals and patient advocacy groups to improve awareness and treatment options for patients.Job Responsibilities1. Executing all national medical activities related to the disease area, including educational events, conferences, and medical symposiums.2. Providing medical expertise in various areas such as reviewing presentations, abstracts, and publications related to. Additionally, you would contribute to the implementation of registries, cohorts, or clinical trials, primarily focusing on non-interventional studies.3. Offering cross-functional support for the development and execution of commercial initiatives related to the disease area. This may include collaborating with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment between medical and commercial strategies.4. Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to identify optimal access pathways for company products in the disease area. This involves understanding and addressing access barriers to ensure patients can benefit from company's treatments.5. Identifying and highlighting gaps in the care pathway for the disease area's patients, serving as a catalyst for change to improve the standard of care. This could involve advocating for policy changes or developing new healthcare delivery models.6. Co-developing and co-executing reimbursement and health economics and outcomes research activities. This includes assessing the value of products in the the diseases area market and working to secure favorable reimbursement and access policies.7. Building and nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers (HCPs), and patient association groups within the community. This involves regular communication, collaboration on educational initiatives, and seeking their input on medical activities.8. Partnering with HCPs and the association on patient identification initiatives tailored to local needs. This may include developing programs to improve early detection, diagnosis, and referral pathways for patients.9. Increasing awareness and raising the profile of the diseases area as a significant and debilitating disease. You'll work to educate healthcare professionals, patients, and the broader community about the impact, its management, and available treatment options through various awareness campaigns and educational activities.Experience requirements
  • Desirable experience of working in rare diseases, oncology
  • Advanced in English (speaking, writing) and communication skills
  • Advanced in Presentation skills
Education requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in MD, PharmD, or PhD
