- Monitor the work of Service Provider (SP) technical partners and provide training as needed
- Partner with Tapestry (TPR) Product Development (PD) and SP sample room to resolve technical issues found. Make sure samples made are manufacturable
- Partner with Production Operation Management (POM) to conduct Pilot Meeting on Selected Newness/Transfer Styles to make sure all construction, applications, and design intent to be applied properly during bulk production
- Offer options for cost saving & efficiency opportunities during sample stage and transitioning such options to On Site team (OST) for bulk implementation
- Follow up with TPR PD and work with other cross function teams in new designs, new material or new techniques. Release Best Practices or TOP as needed.
- Monitoring - together with OST - long lead time styles execution to ensure consistent quality and on time delivery
- Line walking with OST when key/core products produced. Make sure the Pilot transfers carried out Design intent as following Product Approval (PA). Resolution of intermittent product issues, proposals on process/construction improvement
- Degree holder with minimum of 7 years working experience in sourcing handbags, accessories, footwear, or related product line.
- Minimum 2 years of handbags or footwear engineering preferred.
- Strong in sourcing, and working closely with SPs in all levels, with in-depth knowledge of all aspects of technical production.
- Pattern knowledge preferred.
